This Privacy Policy describes how the Ivar Discord bot ("Ivar", "we", "us" or "our") handles your personal information when you interact with the bot on Discord.

When you interact with Ivar on Discord, we may collect the following information:

Your Discord username and discriminator
Your Discord avatar image
Your Discord roles and permissions on the server
Messages you send in channels where Ivar is present
Reactions you add to messages
Voice channel activity and access settings
Nickname and profile information you set using Ivar commands
NSFW access and content filter settings

We only collect information that is necessary for the bot to function as intended and provide the features and services you request. We do not collect any information about your activity outside of Discord.

Data Storage and Security
All user data collected by Ivar is stored in secure MongoDB databases. We implement industry standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Sensitive data such as your Discord user ID is encoded before being stored. Each Discord server's data is logically separated by associating it with that server's unique ID.
Data is automatically deleted when it is no longer needed, such as when Ivar is removed from a server. We do not retain any user data for servers where Ivar is no longer present.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, trade, or sell your personal information to any third parties. The only exceptions are:
If we are required to do so by law
If it is necessary to prevent harm or illegal activity
If Ivar's code is audited for security purposes by trusted experts under strict confidentiality agreements
In these rare cases, we will attempt to notify affected users when possible.
User Rights and Choices
Ivar provides multiple ways for you to control your data:
Most features that collect data require you to explicitly opt-in
You can update or delete any nickname, profile, or other user-set information at any time using bot commands
You can opt out of or block any Ivar features you do not want to use
If Ivar is kicked or removed from a server, all data associated with that server is automatically deleted

Children's Privacy
Ivar is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child has shared personal information with us, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a child has interacted with Ivar, please contact us.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through Discord, the Ivar website, or other means. The updated policy will be posted with the date of the latest revision.
Your continued use of Ivar after any changes to the Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may opt out by removing Ivar from your Discord server.
